Q: I am interested in converting my rear drum brakes to disc brakes on my 88-98 Chevy 2wd full-size pickup. Are there any kits to do this?
A: Yes, Baer makes a kit that converts your factory rear drum brake to a disc brake. This is an outstanding upgrade for two major reasons. First, the brakes will enhance the look of the vehicle and second, the stopping performance will be much better. The part number for the rear conversion is 4302011. To complement this rear kit we recommend changing the front rotors to a Performance Rotor with Hawk performance pads and Stainless Steel Brake Lines as well. This will give you the absolute best stopping power.
