Q: I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton Z71. I heard that I can't put a suspension lift on it becuase of my auto 4WD. Is this true? I was also told that if I did find a kit for it that I would have to change my driveshaft.
A: I have great news for you. We sure do have a lift kit for your Chevy and it works just fine with your auto 4WD. We have actually never heard of this before, and certainly have never run into any problems as a result of installing a lift kit on the Silverado. You can get a lift kit from many companies. Skyjacker, Superlift, and Pro Comp are three companies that make lift kits for your '99 Silverado. They include all the necessary parts and components to lift your truck the right way. There won't be any need to make late night runs to the hardware store because you're missing something. According to these guys, there's no need to replace the driveshaft either.
