Q: How hard is it to install lift blocks? What's involved in the installation and are there any special tools required.
A: Lift blocks are a quick and affordable way to lift your truck. The installation is very easy as well. Basic hand tools, a jack and jack stands are all that are required to do the install. After you jack the rear of the truck up make sure you put some jack stands under the frame, safety first. Let the rear end down slowly until the jack is not supporting it anymore. Unbolt the u-bolts on both sides of the truck. When that's complete, jack up the axle to make room for the block to fit between the axle and the leaf spring. Place the block on the leaf making sure the pin on the leaf goes into hole on the block. When you line up the axle make sure the pin from the top of the block goes into the axle as well. When everything is lined up correctly use the longer u-bolts provided and bolt them back up. Take the stands out and let the truck down and you got a lifted rear.
